Seville in two days: monuments, neighbourhoods and time to look
Two days allow something one day does not: understanding the city as well as seeing it. Here is how to divide them.
Spend day one on the monumental core — Alcázar, Cathedral and Santa Cruz — and day two on the river: El Arenal, the Torre del Oro, Triana and Plaza de España. Grouping nearby sights cuts down on travel.

Why split it this way
Day one explains the city’s origins: the palace, the former mosque turned cathedral and the Jewish quarter. Day two shows how Seville opened up to the river and the world, from the port of the Indies to the 1929 Exposition. In that order, each place on day two makes more sense thanks to day one.
Day 1: monumental Seville
Morning: Alcázar and Cathedral
Start with whichever monument you have the earliest ticket for. With two days you can afford more time in each: the Alcázar gardens, the climb up the Giralda or the Cathedral chapels.
Afternoon: Santa Cruz and the historic shopping streets
After a break, stroll through Santa Cruz and head up to Plaza del Salvador, Calle Sierpes and the Setas de la Encarnación, contemporary Seville built over Roman remains. After dark, go back to see the illuminated Cathedral.
Day 2: the river and the Seville of 1929
Morning: Plaza de España
Early on, Plaza de España is quieter and the light is soft. Walk along the provincial benches and through María Luisa Park, with its small squares and fountains.
Afternoon: El Arenal, Torre del Oro and Triana
Walk down through El Arenal, the old port district, between the Maestranza and the Hospital de la Caridad. Follow the river to the Torre del Oro and cross to Triana to end the day with views of Seville from Calle Betis.
