What «private» means
A private day trip is for your group only. No waiting for strangers at the meeting point and no timetable designed for fifty people. Stops, breaks and time in each place are decided with you in mind.
The conversation changes too. On a shared coach the commentary is spread among many; on a private trip you can ask questions, go deeper into what interests you and skip what does not.
Guiding and transport are not the same thing
It helps to be clear from the start: an official guide explains and interprets the destination; transport is a separate service. Depending on the trip and the group, it can be arranged in different ways.
