What changes after sunset

By day, central Seville belongs to queues and groups. After dark, once the monuments close, the city empties of hurry and fills with something else: floodlit façades, echoing squares, conversation on terraces and a coolness that in summer feels like a gift.

Artificial light also changes how you read the architecture. The Cathedral’s carvings gain depth, the Giralda stands out against the sky and the narrow streets of Santa Cruz look older than they are.
